[i]nomiwolf: Well then...

That's it then. I have my first class honours in Computer Arts (so I am now a bachelor of the arts officially), I have some brilliant memories and I no longer live in Dundee with Lynne. I think [info]coco_teichou managed to be a bit more eloquent with words that I can be at the moment, so I'll sum up my time and my tribe with a few choice pictures (I'll do a proper pic spam soon when I have gathered all me graduation photos together).

Memories~ are made of this~ )

So - that's it done. Despite my wonderful adventures with my health I have had a phenominal run. So here's to the 3 and a half musketeers, Deji, all of CA and to the future. Of course there is one picture that sums up my time at university better than all the others...

Well we couldn't be completely respectable could we!
(And Tommy is growing out of Colin's head...)

[i]hbom: There and back again

Harebo's tip for the day - don't get hammered in a different town when you have work in the morning... x___x

But backstory! Last night self ventured into sunny Paisley for the Andrew Weatherall gig/club night at Club 69 (titter), alongside local figures [info]arachnademus and [info]deepfriedmango. 'Twas electrotastic! Totally crowded, dark and sweaty with no air conditioning, just like clubs used ta be! Got chatting to a random 35-year-old who felt like he was the oldest guy there... I found it amusing and charitable to call him 'Junior' all night. Also less confusing, since his actual name was 'Maz'...

- - - -
I love the West End! It's full of rubbish!

West End rubbish often consists of perfectly good furniture like the sweeeet extending wooden dinner table we found in our street and shamelessly staggered off with. Srsly, I'd expect to see it in a charity shop for, like, 70 quid. Or, in our dining room, gratis. Now to steal some chairs!

- - - -
So, my bank card expired. And the replacement was sent to my ex's, who sent it back. And now I can't access my cash unless I physically walk into a bank, which I physically can't do as I'm as physically at work all day. (Well, not that physically.) So, no cash for me until my next day off and no new card for two weeks! Teach me to change my banking address sooner. -___-

Bugger, missed this month's comic artists meetup. We did get a bit carried away with our impromptu furniture-assembling party...

Anyway, just need to watch last week's Doctor Who (the Time Lord fae Paisley - see a pattern? ) and I'm almost all caught up. Nae spoilers!

Ha! Trying to get a graduate account is like trying to pull TEETH! Who'd've thought I'd be on the phone to HM Revenue and Customs to get ID for a bank account Oo! Apparently a provisional driving lisence isn't good enough, you have to know how to drive before you can have one xD (i.e. Full license == fine, provisional license == GTFO!). However, the guys I spoke to were nice enough to arrange for the tax stuff to get sent out to the new place, so at least something good's come of my day. Hoorah. I also need to find out if a provisional license is ok to use on domestic flights. Since I need to sort Amecon travel arrangements soon. I just don't want to buy tickets and then find I have no passport or whatever to use them :(

Although I need a new passport anyway... Maybe I'll fill out the forms tonight and post them down to get signatures tomorrow. I don't need fast track or anything like that, I guess. We shall see :)

Also tonight, I'm tidying the house. Craig and I had a tiff last night, and I feel rubbish that we haven't made up yet. So, my energies shall be thrown into tidying! I need furniture monies :(

PS: War beta codes came in today. I'm quite excited :)

So yesterday I went ahead and graduated. Lots of ceremony involved, but it was, nonetheless, an impressive affair. And I probably won't get to do it again, so what the heck :) It was nice to see everyone again, and once my parents send me the pictures, they'll be going up on bebo or something, so keep your eyes peeled.

Now I have the rubbish job of trying to open a student account with RBS. Apparently if I don't drive, my ID's not good enough :O i.e. they don't seem to accept provisional driving lisences once you're over 20. Which is silly imho Oo;; So I'm going to pop into a branch today to see if I can brow beat them into it.

Fun fun fun :)

But now! To work! :D

It's update time! *watches you all run away* >:

Back in Birmingham over summer. I've already seen the car break down again and it's been less than a week! XD

I stole [info]avalix0's job in Derby over summer. Means I have to commute - I only work one day a week because of it - but at £8 an hour, I'm not complaining.

Tokonatsu and AmeCon plans have been made (well, insomuch as getting there). For Toko, I'll be in MK really rather early (about 10:30), mainly because I'm meeting up with [info]avalix0 and Aura at MK Central for a coffee or six before heading over to the campsite (they're travelling early, so I figured I'd join 'em). For AmeCon, I might well be visiting [info]avalix0 in Guildford before going to Leicester. Depends on my monetary situation, which is currently pretty dire - but hopefully being paid will ease things a little.

Yup, that's about it for now.

Phone problem is resolved - it’s still under guarantee, so on Monday I took it into Zavvi, which still has Virgin Media sections in it, and the guy who looked at it immediately concluded it was possessed by a demon useless, and I got my replacement today! It may have helped that it was continually dialling the number 7 by itself when I went into the shop, and not in the less spectacular frozen key mode. It certainly confused the guy, and whoever he had to phone up about it. I’m glad I was able to sort it in person like that though, since I bet phoning up about it myself would have just resulting in me being mucked around, sending the phone off or something. Being able to prove it had gone utterly insane speeded things up nicely! I’m still taking my spare pay-as-you-go phone to Paris, especially since the newer phone is not proven to reliably work abroad.

Tumble drier has also been fixed, and supposedly Virgin are sending out another router since the last one decidedly didn’t arrive… If they managed so well with the phone, hopefully they can cope with the router too.

I’m now finishing up packing for Paaaaaris! Eilidh and Eilidh (oh why the confusion?) are coming over soon, then we’re off to the airport early tomorrow.

I'm on the train back to Dundee, and almost there now :) (back up in the uncultured North and all that) - and well, to mark the occasion you're being subjected to a mildly sappy sentimental post, so there ¬¬

During my wonderful time over the past few years of being ill I was told many many different reasons for 'depression'. The one that stuck most with me is that people become depressed when they feel they can't belong to a tribe, that it's impossible for them - now hold to that idea or not, the worst feeling that plaugued me for many many years was this aching desire to go home, and having absolutely no idea where that was.

When I was walking to the train this morning I almost bawled like a wean (again ._.), because I was struck by the strongest feeling... that I was going home.

And now I'm almost there, and there are people meeting me at the station when I get in... :) ♥

Lol Coco, you were right. We really are a tribe >_> :)

Mystery Solved!

Jesus = Taiwan.

Also further evidence has came to light that all Ball Jointed Dolls should be burned for being demon possessed mockerys of human life from the souless pits of the underworld.

The evidance being i saw a picture of one. Pretty damning evidence.

THAT IS ALL *eats cake*

[i]ace_reaper: Spin up the FTL, we're heading out to the Black.

Ladies and Gentlemen. As you have heard from my subordinates future flatmates.

WE HAVE THE FLAT!

Well at least we have passed the credit checks. Last thing to do is look over the lease and sign it on the 10th. At which point i shall make the great transistion of paying for my own shit. Living away from home.

And not before time to, i'm about a year behind schedule, but oh well.

So yes i've generally been quiet LJ front about it. So where shall i be moving to?

108 THE PRISM

Shit ye not. The building is in fact called the Prism. If its not a secret research base or a launch site for advanced weaponry i'm going to be very disappointed. The flat itself is a sexy sexy 3 bedroomed flat with massive combo living room/kitchen, a bathroom and ensuite shower room, spiral staircase and a balcony. I do indeed approve of it. It's located south side of the river literally 10/15min walk from city center and 5 mins from a subway station. Its also got the springfield quay nearby for Cinema/Bowling/DDR.

Cons? Council Tax is batshit, its next to the M8, and the area itself is not the greatest

Still i'm hopefull about this place. It is Sexy Sexy

So yeah should move in within the month, with my dignified english butler Mr Coleman and my crazy catgirl maid Kim.

It shall at least be intreasting, whatever happens.

PS: If they blow the planet up the week we sign the lease then i'm going to be so peeved its not going to be funny.

HOLYSHIT 300 AT THE IMAX WAS THE BEST THING EVER I CAN NOW DIE HAPPY *explodes into little fangirl pieces*

But seriously - the screen was obviously good and the surround sound was amazing. Hearing the Spartan's yell from all around ya... aaaah so good :) Plus the cinema was full of geeks mouthing along to all the immortal lines.
Eeee Daisy

Anyhoo! Other interesting stuff - according to London, small girls can't dance :( or at least that's my conclusion after running around London all day on Saturday and finding no size 8 dresses that were suitable for the graduation ball. Oh well - Dundee shopping it is \o/

On sunday I went to see [info]2ndclasssoldier. It was good fun to meet her and her friend Emily, and to go the beach and generally lol :) Also remembered to give her her birthday present.

It was my Dad's birthday on Tuesday so I actually drew something and posted it over at Deviant Art... I lol at drawing the height difference between my Dad and I.

And now having fangirled about how incredibly awesome 300 is I should go to bed - its off to Dundee tomorrow for graduation \o/

Although I should add - the name "Om nom Nomi" is beginning to spread and it cracks me up no end xD

So, finally starting to set up the website for the project! :O

Nothing much to go up to be honest. One or two character notes / bios which may or may not make it onto the site within the week. Dreamscape if anyone wants to be prematurely nosey, though there's nothing there yet :3

[i]kxw_alassinsane: KIMI.KAWAII.DESIGNS

These are my designs. I love sketching out clothes, unfortunately, none of them have become reality...yet. Feel free to request a sketch. All I need is what color scheme and for female or male and what designs, if any do you want involved, like a theme.

Anyway, here is what I've done.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/PunkRocker_018/scan0014.jpg
I drew this wedding dress for a girl at my school who wants a Gothic Wedding when she grows up. She really adored the dress I drew. Her name is Courtney.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/PunkRocker_018/scan0013.jpg
Here are three sketches. The first one is inspired by Japan, with the hair close to the head and the floral pattern of a pretty modest dress and Vivienne Westwood shoes. The second one is inspired by the sideproject band of AFI, Blaqk Audio. I liked the pattern of the one BA shirt I have with volume pattern of how loud the beat is so I made the skirt resemble that and I cutsew the shirt I already own. The third one is super Kawaii. I love it and I'd wear. I ahve to make it someday. It's a cupcake princess inspired by Jeffree Star and being cute and sweet.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/PunkRocker_018/scan0012.jpg
This one was drawn for my friend Stevo. This is the only one I drew for a guy. I like it though. The one side is short where it looks like the leg was cut off with bloody accents.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/PunkRocker_018/scan0011.jpg
I went with a triadic(red.yellow, blue) scheme for this, except the red is pink, but it's still a tint of red. The scan doesn't do the pink justice. I was just bored and whipped tihs up. The style is totally me and I'd wear it. I love how unique and decora it is.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/PunkRocker_018/scan0010.jpg
The first one is inspired by the RATED R superstar himself and my favorite wrestler, Edge. It even has a drape along the lower half the same pattern as his leather cloak. It's GothLoli with an Edge theme. The second one is black and white inspired by the band, The Hives from their Black and White album. I just thoguht this is how the girl uniform for the photoshoot would look. ^^

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/PunkRocker_018/Shojobeat.jpg
Last but not least this is the GothLoli dress I drew for a contest for ShojoBeat magazine to try and win real Japanese GothLoli clothes, but I didn't win. I love it though. It's very "Lady Stardust" and inspired by Ziggy and the spiders from Mars themselves. I <3 David Bowie.

What do you guys think? Rate/Hate?

Ahh, it's nice to be updating from home, rather than whenever I grab a chance at work :)

I finally have a little to report on the writing project front, I came up with one or two characters on the train up from Dundee. Would people like it if I updated the actual site with these things (wherever that is - need to fix it up!), or do you want the whole cast to be a surprise? (No story spoilers would be there, don't worry :P) I could update with things like character bios and ship sepcifications and stuff if people are looking for that kind of information? I'll need to make it up anyway, so it's no biggy whether it gets posted up or not :)

But, in other news: today we fed the ducks! I really enjoyed it, even though the weather was starting to turn. Haven't fed the ducks in years! Oodles of fun :)

But now, I go nap, and then play WoW :3
